Allcroft shows more never before seen treasures

Britt Allcroft has made a comeback by relaunching herself on the internet via the new Britt Allcroft's Magic Adventures of Mumfie website.

The website has been made since Allcroft successfully reacquired the rights to her classic cartoon series.

Amazingly, the TV Series Producer has showcased some more never before seen pictures of her life from the archives.

She has uploaded three Thomas related albums on Britt's Page showing images such as the Rev. W. Awdry visiting the TV Series set of Thomas on an occasion.

The revelations follow with the Shining Time Station photo album which includes rarities of Britt with the people behind the spinoff show, Ringo Starr and George Carlin.

A very notable section shows the times during the making of Thomas and the Magic Railroad such as Jared Wall and Laura Bower portraying the Young Burnett and Tasha who were both ultimately cut from the 2000 film.

More behind the original cut continue with an exciting picture displaying Britt with the original voices involved with Patrick Breen, John Bellis, Michael Angelis and Keith Scott behind the participating engine models.

Allcroft also partly recalls in a brief description over the discovery of the theatrical film's uncut form.

In 2007 someone found a copy of my original script. Word spread that many scenes from that script plus the character P.T. Boomer, played by Doug Lennox had not made the final cut.

Peter Sam next in line for Wooden Railway revision

Peter Sam also known as Stuart is making a return to Learning Curve's Wooden Railway range in preperation for his TV Series reappearance.

He joins his fellow Narrow Gauge Engine friend Rusty for the reissue linking to their involvement in the Blue Mountain Mystery movie.

Peter Sam's model retains his animated likeness partly seen in the Twelfth Series, with his siderods detaled more and half his buffer beam painted red as one of the few improvements made to his previous make of model.

Peter Sam from Wooden Railway returns to toy shelves worldwide later this year.

First signs of 'Diesel 10's Counterattack' begin to show

Japan's translated version of the Day of the Diesels film renamed for them as Diesel 10's Counterattack is building up to it's release.

The 2011 made special is not only heading it's way to Japan in April, but is also starting to become publicised.

On their Thomas & Friends website, the movie page has changed from it's Misty Island Rescue to a poster for デイ オブ ザ ディーゼル' release.

Over on YouTube, a video filming a customised Thomas Tomy Pla-Rail set display at a convention shows a trailer of the revised movie via a TV screen but with it's audio been muted and overlapped by library music.

デイ オブ ザ ディーゼル rolls into Japanese cinemas and theatres on April 28th 2012.

Four more DVD's coming to Japan on same day

A quadruple set of DVD's are heading their way to the Japanese population all on the same day in early March.

amazon.co.jp and Forest + have individually revealed two new releases totalling up to the four due to arrive in Japan's territory.

The DVD's are ベッドタイムストーリー　おやすみトーマスいい夢みてね！, ようこそソドー島へ たのしいなかま初登場編, きかんしゃ初めて大図鑑 and 楽しい企画版.

No content is known to feature on either of the titles although brief descriptions have emerged on the first two mentioned above, on amazon.

The four DVD's hit Japanese DVD shelves all on March 7th 2012.

'Thomas & Friends UK' facebook opened to public

A fourth Official Thomas & Friends facebook after the US, German and Thomas Land pages, has been opened.

The page has been made especially for British Thomas fans under the name of Thomas & Friends UK by Hit Entertainment.

The announcement of the creation was first made by the Official Thomas & Friends Twitter @TrueBlueEngine who tweeted; Calling all UK Thomas & Friends Fans! There is now an official UK Thomas & Friends Facebook page.

Albums of Days Out With Thomas and Thomas Land events have been added to the Photos tab accompained seperately by the TV Series logo and a frequently used animated promotional image serving as the profile picture.

The page has already garnered over 150 likes in just over an hour as soon as the reveal on Twitter surfaced.

The Classic Series makes return to Japan on two DVD's

The Japanese are being treated to two new DVD's already released and available to buy now.

いたずら大作戦!! and トーマスだけのメダル　たのしいソドー島のひとたち both feature six episodes each all from the Classic Series where the term is notably added onto their retrospective front covers.

Amazon teases 'Blue Mountain Mystery' plot points

amazon.com have written up brief descriptions of the two main Blue Mountain Mystery storybooks.

The short 24 page and long 48 page titles' profiles show small hints to the storyline attributing to the Autumn 2012 special.

The Little Golden Book's preview also reveals of the movie's Blu Ray release existence.

Thomas is racing to solve the Blue Mountain Mystery in this Little Golden Book retelling of the new Thomas & Friends direct-to-DVD/Blu-ray movie.

The Big Golden Book version however teases more towards the hour long film's plot.

In the new Thomas & Friends direct-to-DVD movie, Blue Mountain Mystery, a little engine fears he's caused a terrible accident and Thomas attempts to track down the truth.

The Blue Mountain Mystery books hit UK and US book shelves on August 7th 2012.

Model Railways Direct draws out Hornby 2012 dates

Model Railways Direct have been the first to open up on the release dates applied for Hornby's Thomas lineup for 2012.

The online retailer for model trains are reporting that six of the products shall be rolled out by mid June.

These involve the Thomas and the Breakdown Train Set, Spencer's Coach and Brake Coach and the Tank Wagon, Vent Van and Open Wagon Triple Packs.

Also, the returns of the Stepney and Spencer models in their limited 1000 allocations are due to come out at the time of mid May. The product's availablity for pre-ordering shall be updated when their defunction lifts.

Hornby's Thomas & Friends lineup for 2012 appear in UK model and hobby stores starting from May 14th up to June 18th 2012.

Animated likeness Rusty appears for Wooden Railway

The animated version of Rusty due to feature in the forthcoming Blue Mountain Mystery film has been transformed for the Wooden Railway merchandising range.

Learning Curve's Thomas toy line will re-release Rusty in his computer generated likeness.

The TV Series partly showcased this in the form of the little diesel's animated face as seen in the Twelfth Series.

Notable changes to the original wooden model include the base around his newly implemented face being flattened to limit the free spacing by his face and more attention to detail on both sides of his boiler.

Rusty from Wooden Railway returns to toy shelves worldwide later this year.

'The Best of James' and 'Percy' back covers published

The back covers appearing on The Best of James and The Best of Percy UK DVD collections have been published by Play.com.

Both covers follow the same design vein as seen on The Best of Thomas 2010 release showing various pictures of the two selected engines for 2012.

Percy's back includes a promotional image with Thomas from the release of the Seventh Series followed by a shot from Percy and the Bandstand and an unseen animation promo with the two friends in the countryside.

James' on the other hand involves one with him and Edward from Keeping Up With James, himself from James Works It Out and a Thomas and the Pigs still alongside Thomas.

The Best of James and The Best of Percy will both hit UK DVD shelves on February 6th 2012.

Bear reinstated and prices increased from Hornby

The Railway Series' Bear also known as D7101 has been re-released by Hornby unexpectingly.

The diesel in his blue livery has been given his own and updated product page on Hornby's website where he is available to buy for £61.02.

Disappointingly, all of the model maker's characters including Edward, James and Toby have all been increased in varying prices.

Hornby in January of this year released details of their Thomas & Friends lineup for 2012.

Covers and extension for 2012 'Thomas Story Time'

The renewed UK book series, Thomas Story Time has had it's front covers revealed for five new books.

The series which has replaced the Thomas Story Library collection, will instead for 2012 be increased from four to five titles.

Revealed back in October 2011, the original quartet have since been renamed, also by removing Thomas' name from the TV Series book titles.

Furthermore, the extra fifth member in the form of Bubble Trouble is based on the Season Thirteen episode, Slippy Sodor.

The description for Bubble Trouble reads; Thomas has an important special delivery for Mr Bubbles the clown. But does Thomas have what it takes to do the job well? 

The covers feature selected episode stills of Thomas alongside edited promotional shots all varying between the lineup.

The five new Thomas Story Time books all hit UK book shelves on April 2nd 2012.
