New cover for RWS 42 causes confusion (and delay...!)

Egmont have published the supposed final version of the cover for the upcoming 42nd Railway Series book.

Thomas and His Friends which will be released in the Summer is now at the centre of confusing many fans over the new cover art.
The image shows a revised version of the cover from the 39th book, Thomas and the Fat Controller Engines but with some differences.

It is not currently known if this version is the final cover although more details should emerge sometime nearer it's release.

Thomas and His Friends hits UK book shelves on July 4th 2011.

  1. I don't think it'll be amended any more. I believe that it was found on Egmont's official site. Either way, people shouldn't judge the book by its cover

  2. In the words of a classical song,

'Don't Judge A Book, Just Remember The Rule. Never, Never, Never, Never, Never, Never, Never, Never Judge A Book, By It's Cover'.

Sure except something new, there has been one re-made picture on one of Christopher Awdry's book, 'Really Useful Engine' with a Clive Spong illustration of Thomas and Gordon in the Rev.W.Awdry's story, 'Thomas and Gordon'. So yeah :)

That's York in one of Christopher Awdry's books, 'Thomas and The Great Railway Show' where Thomas was on a lorry due to an accident at a wet level crossing. Find the book number on Amazon UK, buy the book and read it. And while you're there pre-order the new Railway Series book No. 42
