Fire and space beat steam at Licensing Awards

Thomas & Friends lost out to two brands for two awards at the 2011 year of the Licensing Awards show.

Presented by Comedian and The Inbetweeners star, Greg Davies, the latest ceremony held at the Grosvenor House Hotel had many brands battling it out for the prizes they were aiming for.

Thomas & Friends was up for Best Pre-School Licensed Property and Best Classic Licensed Property.
Sadly, the Sodor cast were beaten by it's rival competitor Fireman Sam and the Star Wars franchise.

Licensing Awards' Director, Ian Hyder however commended all the participants; The Licensing Awards was the culmination of a huge amount of work and input from the entire licensing industry.

Their commitment and creativity made the awards event a truly memorable night.

  1. With the way the TV Series' writing is these days, Thomas and Friends won't be winning ANY awards any time soon, and I take no delight in saying that...

  2. I agree the negative feedback on the recent series of Thomas and Friends, it looks like he won't be winning awards for a while. I do hope in future, but I'm glad that Peppa Pig didn't get an award unlike last year, looks like everyone have forgotten that brand.

Maybe with the new head writer next year, there could be some light? Maybe, but only time will tell.
