'Thomas Story Library' in new print style for new year

With the announcement of the discontinuation of the Thomas Story Library book series near the end of 2011, it's legacy lives on in UK shops.

Started just a few days before the new 2012 year, the series has been reprieved to accommodate an alternate style art onto the covers.

With their original character images remaining the same, the borders at the top have been pushed up by an angle with a new logo attached alongside the character's full name and type of machinery.
SteamTeam who collected the original books noticed the change; The new print of Story Library books are now available in some shops. They have been redesigned and renamed.

I bought "Oliver the Great Western Engine" yesterday. They also had "Percy the Small Engine" and "Harold the Helicopter".

The ill-fated book series has since been replaced by Egmont's Thomas Story Time franchise.

  2. Shame they've been discontinued, that style is fantastic. It's a lot better than the old version

Whew, I'm glad to see most of the books will still be available, as I only had about half of the old set...
