Official website releases 'King of the Railway' Earl clip

The Thomas & Friends website has released a new clip from the King of the Railway movie.

The preview, from the US version of the film, is used as an unlockable feature on the Explore Sodor campaign for Ulfstead Castle to introduce Sir Robert Norramby, The Earl of Sodor.

It sees The Earl misunderstanding his welcome party at Knapford Station, much to the confusion of The Fat Controller and the Sodor Brass Band.

Earlier this month, Lionsgate Entertainment published stills from the film to promote its US launch on DVD/Blu-ray.

King of the Railway: The Movie marks its theatrical premiere in Hoyts cinemas across Australia on July 20th.

Vue cinemas in the UK will follow from August 23rd to September 1st while the US and Germany will receive the movie from September 2013.

Thanks to SteamTeam for the alert.

  2. happy birthday, melad. have fun and be safe. :) also, I need to know if you got more updates to blog about for Thomas and friends. I have not seen a single updates about a new Thomas dvd to be released, other than king of the railway. and how did you know that spills and thrills will be released this fall. also, I didn't see you post blog about monster of sodor. I am wondering why I don't see that much updates about Thomas and friends. this is ridiculous.

    1. It would really help to not feel the need to comment as to "who is returning to the series like Boco, Daisy..." or as to when "I want to know when Donald etc." will come back or when a "DVD will be released". It is becoming so repetitive that its nonetheless proving to SPAM my posts. I don't know when one thing after another will come, confirmation would come from many realms of the internet such as press releases. I am sometimes notified links, other times I appear to find them myself, but you really need to understand that whatever is posted to the blog, ITS ALL THERE FOR YOU. I do not work for Hit Entertainmet, nor' am I affiliated with them. So it would really help to have patience rather than barraging me or other users to know the answers to everything because WE DON'T and it has annoyed some people including myself as I monitor these comments. Watch what you say as it doesn't make things better, it makes people tired of repetition and desperation, which dare I say the series had. Nobody knows till things are alerted, so ONLY comment when all things are satisfactory and are not random to irritate. That's enough.

    2. I am so sorry but I am also a fan of Thomas as much as everyone else, and even when nothing new is confirmed, it gets kind of boring, with no updates.

    3. True, but if it does get "boring", keep your wishes to yourself, that's what is asked. Take things with a pinch of salt, Thomas updates don't come everyday remember.

    5. also, can I ask you something, I know its up to hit entertainment or any other company in charge of Thomas, but when I even write emails in regards to finding out more updates, how come they'll be forced to keep ignoring me.

    6. Sometimes information is cryptic enough to be kept away from the public eye for secrecy, even when things are in the making. They want to surprise people, which is why they don't reply to emails sometimes and its not just the one person who gets blanked, its a lot of people and they are a company in the profession who provides entertainment for children in many aspects of life, more or less, for television. That said, I still find it silly and annoying seeing individuals spread spoilers over a foreign version of a film which hasn't even arrived in English speaking countries, or rather, their respective countries. Even when they appear in somebody's timeline on say, Twitter, its just infuriating.
