ABC2 just updated their online TV guide, so here's the full details of what's going on with the Australian version of this "festive miniseries".

ABC2 will cut short it's repeat run of Season 11 at 9:15am daily from December 11 after twelve episodes.

Season 15 episodes Tree Trouble and Percy The Snowman will air in the 9:15am timeslot on December 23 and 24 respectively, with Misty Island Rescue debuting at 12:30pm on Christmas Eve and Season 14 episode Merry Winter Wish at 4:40pm that afternoon.

December 25 will see Season 15 episode Surprise, Surprise at 9:15am and December 26 will see Season 13 episode Thomas And The Runaway Kite at 9:15am before Season 11 resumes on December 27.

  3. At least Merry Winter Wish is finally being shown, what about Merry Misty Island?

@ Anonymous - Apparently no Merry Misty Island this year... it is, however, available on the Merry Winter Wish DVD and is probably still hanging around on YouTube somewhere.

You can keep up to date with any last minute changes to Thomas broadcasts on the right-hand side of this page - http://www.abc.net.au/abcforkids/shows/s2979098.htm - but for now it seems you'll have to wait a while longer to see Merry Misty Island on TV.

I haven't a clue why Thomas And the Runaway Kite is being aired on December 26, it is not Christmassy by any measure. Why doesn't Season 11 just resume on Boxing Day if Merry Misty Island is not being shown this Christmas?

It's just over 2 and 1/2 hours until Misty Island Rescue goes to air. I'll be tuning in, despite having seen it numerous times on DVD. It's not a bad special, but in my opinion, Hero Of The Rails is still the best.
