Season Sixteen of Thomas & Friends starts airing in Australia on ABC2 starting from Thursday February 16th 2012 at 2:55pm, everyday of the week.
Channel 5 in the UK will show the new series on their milkshake! slot on Monday February 20th 2012 at 7:35am five days a week, excluding the weekend. Further episodes are due to be clarified in the schedules.
The best thing out of these episodes appears to be the return of the Smelter's Yard! :) Bust my Buffers seems okay. Too early to tell though :P
ReplyDelete...I'm dreading it already. The titles sound bad, and the episode descriptions don't sound any better. I suppose I'll give them a chance. But I wouldn't be surprised if this was worse than Series 15...
ReplyDeleteThis won't be worse than Series 15 I'm sure. though we've got to give it a chance. You never know it might not have so much repetion and rhymes in them (thank goodness).

Delete@Anonymous, how can the episodes be enojoied when they are flat out terrible - there full of brain-melting rhyimg, unrealistc trains (up, up and away comes to mind), forced writing, and bad morals, totally inaporiate for kids? (kevin the steamie clearly tells kids 'go play in dangerous areas'

Percy and The Calliope - Seems OK, the smelters returning for the first time since Season 12, hope they show that anyway and the Calliope sounds good. For those people who don't know what it is it is a musical instrument that plays some music through steam, it's all on Wikipedia.
It seems to be an OK season, in my views, but not the best season of all time. I'm awaiting for the changes though. If there are no NG engines in the third week, well then, just have to wait for Blue Mountain Mystery to come out.
The first two are the only ones I dread.

DeleteIf the narrow guage engines are in week 3 and the episodes are at the very least tolerable then this season for me will be better than season 15 purely because it'll be something visually new. At least some episodes show potential. No matter how this season turns out I am determined to not get ticked off at it only because of the changes coming next year, I think I can put up with this writing one last time.
ReplyDeleteI like them all and am Thinking could Trevor be used in Percy and the Calliope and why would the Fat COntroller want to scrap a STEAM organ? Diesel I could understand, I wonder if Narrow Gauge Engines will be in FLash bang Wallop and in bust my buffers do they mean yellow and black buffer beams? Also it sounds unessecary Gordon's buffers be mended and then put back on, And Now we are in CGI Period could Whiff, Percy, Gordon etc interact with narrow gauge engines?
