Royalty returns for Thomas & Friends in theme park visit

Thomas & Friends will once again be visited by royalty, this time in Thomas Land, Staffordshire, UK.

The Countess of Wessex is due to make the special visit to Drayton Manor's steamside theme park also to open a new but different attraction.

Thomas Land UK's facebook page made the following announcement; The Fat Controller and all the engines are very excited about next week’s Royal Visit.

Her Royal Highness The Countess of Wessex will pop into Thomas Land on Wednesday 14th September after she officially opens the Drayton Manor Hotel.

This isn't the first time that The Fat Controller and the cast of Sodor have met royalty. In the Railway Series story, Paint Pots & Queens, Queen Elizabeth II visited Sodor and came aboard the Royal Train as pulled by Gordon.

The Queen's visit was relived after returning to Sodor in the TV Series's episode of the same story name. Prince Charles recently unveiled a bust of the Thin Clergyman in Centenary, the current last Railway Series story.
